Summer is Here : We're Playing Differently, Unapologetically

The thermometer is rising, the living room is trapping the heat, and the Summer Game Fest announcements are already buzzing through the entire community. This is exactly the moment we’ve chosen to launch our own Summer Games, one week ahead of everyone else. The concept is simple, ritualistic, and frankly enjoyable : every week throughout the summer, we’ll explore a game perfectly tailored for the season, alternating between chilling in the deep abyss and scorching in the desert furnace. One immersive experience at a time, giving you the space to truly dive in.

🕹️ What to Know Before Taking the Plunge :

  • Every week all summer long, we release a new game : one time aquatically cool, the next time desert-hot and scorching. Multi-platform, multi-genre, always in the seasonal vibe.
  • The weekend following each article, we’ll stream the game live for one to two hours, with no fixed schedule. To ensure you don’t miss the live show, subscribe to our Twitch channel via the button at the top of the site : you’ll receive the notification directly on your phone.
  • The games chosen are not random : these are titles that truly have something to say about the season, whether through their atmosphere, sensations, or their ability to make you forget the temperature of your living room.

When the Weather Crashes Our Video Game Calendar

There’s something slightly ironic about the timing of all this. At the exact moment the gaming community is preparing to thrill over major announcements and trailers from the Summer Game Fest, the weather decides to play its own tune. The air gets heavy, the sun beats down, and living rooms already begin to accumulate that specific summer heat, the kind that settles into the furniture and doesn’t leave until October.

Since the summer vibe has imposed itself, we’ve chosen to take the lead. Launching our Summer Games a month early is a way to link the excitement of this announcement period to that visceral need for escape we all feel as soon as the thermometer breaks 95°F. Comfortably settled under a fan, controller in hand.

Chapter 1 : Diving into Dave the Diver to Forget the Heat

A Pitch That Plays Out in Two Acts

In Dave the Diver, you play as Dave, a laid-back diver who finds himself roped into a completely wild project : exploring the Blue Hole, a mysterious marine fault where the flora and fauna change with every dive. And your daily life will be split into two perfectly distinct, yet terribly complementary acts.

During the day, you don your fins and harpoon to descend into the depths, catch fish of all sizes, collect resources, and help out a forgotten Sea People. In the evening, you swap the wetsuit for an apron, and help Bancho, a genius chef, run a trendy sushi restaurant right by the water. The better your catch, the more prestigious the menu, and the more you have to upgrade your equipment to go even deeper the next day.

Why It’s Exactly What You Need When It’s 95°F Outside

The true magic of Dave the Diver lies in its audio and visual atmosphere. As soon as Dave splashes into the water, a specific silence sets in : heavy, enveloping, only broken by the regular sound of oxygen bubbles rising to the surface and an aquatic soundtrack of absolute calm. The modern pixel art graphics are brimming with colorful details : schools of fish darting between kelp, rays of light piercing the surface, creatures you never expected to encounter at this depth.

There is a feeling of immediate freedom and freshness that emerges from these diving sessions. You forget the living room’s temperature to focus on oxygen management, the beauty of a never-before-seen species, the simple pleasure of seeing your small restaurant fill up after dark. It is a comforting masterpiece, extremely rewarding, to be savored at your own pace. The kind of game that welcomes you without rushing you.

💾 This blend of restaurant management + pixel art diving is exactly the kind of improbable combination that should never have worked on paper. And yet, from the very first hours, you can no longer see why one would exist without the other. A bit like those old games from the late 90s that made up their rules as they went along, without ever asking for permission.

The Weekend Stream : Let’s Dive Together

Because emotions and discoveries are shared even better live, each issue of the Summer Games extends into the weekend with a streaming session of one to two hours. The summer schedule being what it is, there will be no fixed time for these lives.

💡 To Not Miss the Live Show : Click on the Twitch button at the top of the site to subscribe to the channel. You will receive an immediate notification on your phone as soon as the stream begins. We’re counting on you to show up in the chat.

And Next Week : The Furnace Awaits

As announced, our ritual is going to shake up the atmospheres. After translucent water and fresh fish, we are radically changing settings for Chapter 2. The deep sea is over. Make way for the merciless sun, screaming metal, and an infinite horizon where water is nothing but a distant memory.

Bonus Clue : Think dust, twisted metal, speed, and survival. A classic of post-apocalyptic culture adapted into an open-world video game. Your turn to play in the comments.
